Quality is a cornerstone of our brand promise. Our HDPE fusion welding machines have datalogging capabilities which allow us to measure and track the quality of each weld – enabling us to provide you with on-site certification of weld quality.

Extrusion Welding
Extrusion welding allows the application of bigger welds in a single weld pass. It is the preferred technique for joining material over 6 mm thick. Welding rod is drawn into a miniature hand held plastic extruder, plasticized, and forced out of the extruder against the parts being joined, which are softened with a jet of hot air to allow bonding to take place.
Electrofusion Welding
Plain pipes are jointed by means of electrofusion (EF) fitting incorporating an electrical heating coil which when electrically activated for the appropriate time by electrofusion welding machine, melts the surface of the pipe & fitting together resulting in complete fusion of the pipe and electrofusion fitting. There is a barcode label on each of the EFfittings. This label includes fusion parameters (such as welding voltage and duration)
Electrofusion Fittings
Electrofusion is a simple and rapid jointing technique for making permanently welded joints. The efficient assembly on-site of pipes, fittings, or prefabricated pipework can be achieved using electrofusion couplers and electrofusion welding equipment. Seltork Piping provide fittings with long spigot ends which are suitable for electrofusion only.
